Site appearance, announcement bar and WhatsApp button

Switch themes, tune brand colour and fonts, add an announcement bar, and show a WhatsApp floating button under Website settings.

On this page

Website settings (owner only) control how your school's site looks to students. This article covers three tabs: Appearance, Announcement bar and Floating button. For the menu, domain and custom code see Customizing your navigation menu and Domain & branding.

Appearance: themes

Pick a theme first and the whole site's colours, fonts and feel change together. There are four:

  • Atelier: warm paper, ink-dark type, an oxblood underline — for writing, humanities, coaching and counselling.
  • Court: anti-slip off-white, heavy geometric type, safety orange — for fitness, sports and high-intensity courses.
  • Playroom: soft cream, rounded type, cornflower blue with coral — for kids, crafts, languages and hobby courses.
  • Console: cool white, tight type, electric indigo — for programming, data and engineering courses.

You can also choose "System default".

Appearance: fine-tuning

Below the theme you can adjust brand colour, page background colour, a page background image (overrides the colour), and the heading font and body font. These overrides take priority over the theme's own settings; to let the theme show fully, press "Use the theme's own colours and fonts".

You can also set a banner image for each of the Articles, Downloads and Events list pages.

The site header

The bar at the top of every page — your logo, menu links and sign-in buttons. (The language switcher lives in the page footer; the site's light/dark appearance follows each visitor's system setting.)

  • Keep it fixed while scrolling (on by default): the header stays pinned to the top as visitors scroll, so the menu is always one tap away. Turn it off and the header scrolls away with the page.
  • Bottom divider line: the thin line separating the header from the content below. Turn it off for a seamless look, or give it your own colour.
  • Custom header colours: turn this on to set the header's background, text and divider colours yourself instead of following the theme. Pick a background and text colour with enough contrast — if they're too close in brightness a warning appears (you can still save). Turning this off returns the header to the theme's colours; hiding the divider keeps its colour for when you show it again.

Announcement bar

A strip across the top of every page, good for events and offers:

  • Text: fill it in per language; leave every language empty and the bar is hidden.
  • Link (optional): the whole bar becomes clickable; you can open it in a new tab.
  • Style: brand colour, dark or subtle.
  • Start / end time (optional): blank means start now and never expire — use them to schedule ahead.

WhatsApp floating button

The WhatsApp button now sits with the website chat window and the official LINE account under Support → Contact options, each with its own switch:

  • Turn on WhatsApp and enter your WhatsApp number with the country code (it is always stored as "+" and the digits). When a student taps the icon, their own WhatsApp opens a message to you — it doesn't go through the platform and costs nothing.
  • The channels that are on form one small group of icons at the edge of your website; for where it sits and how visitors can drag it, see Website chat: AI customer service, live support and contact options.
