Domain and branding
Subdomain, custom domain, logo, colours, and advanced site settings.

Free subdomain
Every school gets a free *.teachvix.com subdomain at signup, no extra cost.
Custom domain
Under Website settings → Domain, enter your own domain (e.g. .com/.com.my) then create the DNS record shown on screen at your domain provider (a CNAME for a subdomain, an A record for a root domain) and press "Verify domain". The platform adds the domain to its hosting and issues the SSL certificate automatically — there is nothing further to ask us for. The screen tells you where it is stuck: DNS not pointing yet, a TXT ownership record needed, SSL being issued (usually a few minutes), or ready. Your site only starts using the domain once it shows "Verified".
Students sign in separately on your custom domain — being signed in on *.teachvix.com doesn't carry over to it, and vice versa. Email and Google/Facebook sign-in both work on the custom domain with no extra setup on your side; a Google/Facebook sign-in briefly passes through teachvix.com before returning to your domain.
Branding
- Logo, favicon, and a social-share (Open Graph) image: Settings → School profile
- For the logo, a horizontal PNG/JPG/WebP with a transparent background works best (common sizes: 250×150, 350×75, 400×100, 160×160 — any size works; the header shows the whole image, scaled, without cropping). On the same page you can set the header's display height, keep or hide the school name next to the logo, and choose where clicking it goes; the email letters and the certificate can each use their own version (leave them empty to follow the header logo).
- Brand colour, fonts, and theme: Website settings → Appearance
- Advanced (Website settings → Custom code): custom CSS and custom JavaScript, for schools that want deeper control over their site's look
See Customizing your navigation menu for showing/hiding/reordering menu items, renaming them per language, and adding your own links.
The Teachvix badge in the footer
On the Basic plan, the bottom of your school's footer shows a small "Powered by Teachvix" line that links to the Teachvix website. On Growth and above you can hide it under Website settings → Look → Footer.
- It only affects the footer of your school website; emails and certificates sent to students are not affected.
- If you move from Growth back to Basic, the badge comes back automatically. Your "hide" choice is kept, so upgrading to Growth again takes effect right away with nothing to set up again.
- While a subscription is past due or canceled, the badge also comes back temporarily.
Multi-language storefront
Your school's dashboard and public storefront are already available in English, Malay, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese — students can switch languages themselves, and you can set a default for your school.
