Pricing and plans
The platform runs on a monthly subscription — we never take a cut of what you sell, that's entirely yours. 14-day free trial, no payment method needed. There are three plans (Basic / Growth / Pro) with genuinely different features, not the same thing at different prices — see the Pricing page for the full breakdown.
Your account won't be locked when the trial ends — you'll just see a reminder banner in the dashboard. You can finish setting up your content and payments before deciding whether to subscribe, and your students' existing access is never affected.
Upgrading takes effect immediately — you're only charged the prorated difference, never billed in full again. You can cancel anytime too — it takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, you keep full access until then, and you can change your mind and reactivate any time before it ends. Downgrading requires meeting your new plan's limits first (e.g. course count) — you'll need to unpublish or archive anything over the limit before it can go through; once confirmed, features and price change together at the end of your current period, never early and never with an extra charge.
Your Teachvix subscription and the prices you set for your own students are both billed in your school's currency, based on the country you choose when signing up (Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, or Hong Kong). Stripe Connect (Malaysia, Singapore, or Hong Kong) automatically converts currency for card payments from abroad, and PayPal (Malaysia only) is built specifically for cross-border buyers. Taiwan's local gateways (ECPay, NewebPay, PayUni) are TWD-focused, best suited for buyers paying from within Taiwan.
Payments
Depends on your school's country: Malaysia gets Stripe Connect (FPX bank transfer / cards), toyyibPay (FPX bank transfer at a lower fee), senangPay (GrabPay / Touch 'n Go / Boost / Atome), and PayPal; Taiwan gets ECPay, NewebPay, and PayUni (credit card / ATM transfer / convenience-store barcode payment); Singapore gets Stripe Connect (cards, PayNow) and HitPay; Hong Kong gets Stripe Connect (cards), Airwallex (FPS), and QFPay (WeChat Pay / Alipay HK / PayMe / UnionPay). Every country can also turn on "manual / offline transfer" as a fallback — no gateway account needed, you collect payment directly into your own bank account and verify it yourself. You choose which of your country's options to offer your students.
If the student paid through Stripe Connect, yes — it's a real recurring subscription that renews automatically. Every other gateway (toyyibPay, senangPay, HitPay, PayPal, Airwallex, QFPay, or Taiwan's ECPay/NewebPay/PayUni) is manual renewal: the student gets notified and completes it themselves from the course page.
Yes — mark a course as requiring shipping and students provide a mailing address at checkout. Malaysia and Singapore schools can connect an EasyParcel account to book a courier with one click and get a real tracking number; Hong Kong and Singapore schools can also connect Easyship the same way. Taiwan (or any school without a connected courier account) enters carrier and tracking details manually after packing the order.
Course content and video
Videos are hosted on a global CDN video streaming service (Bunny Stream), automatically transcoded into multiple qualities and adjusted to the viewer's connection — you never have to manage a server yourself. Uploads go straight from your browser to Bunny, up to 10GB per video, and resume from where they left off if your connection drops instead of starting over.
Text (a full rich text editor — headings, tables, embedded video, callout boxes), quizzes (auto-graded), assignments (submission + grading), file downloads, live event links, and embedded YouTube/Vimeo videos — you can mix them freely within a single course.
The player can overlay a dynamic watermark showing the viewing student's own email and IP, with an optional random-movement mode to resist cropping — the goal is to trace a leak back to its source, not to make recording technically impossible.
Technical and domains
No. After signing up you get a subdomain immediately (e.g. yourschool.teachvix.com) — just follow the dashboard to set your brand and courses. If you already own a domain, you can point it at your school too.
Yes — logo, brand colour, favicon, social share image, and menu items are all configurable from the dashboard. Advanced users can also add custom CSS/JavaScript for finer control.
On the Basic plan, your school's footer shows a small "Powered by Teachvix" line. On Growth and above you can hide it in Website settings. It only affects the footer of your school website; emails and certificates sent to students are not affected.
Yes — the built-in page builder lets you assemble standalone pages (landing pages, event announcements, anything outside a course) from drag-and-drop blocks, no coding needed. How many custom pages you can create depends on your plan.
GA4, Meta Pixel (including server-side CAPI), and Google Tag Manager can be added by pasting a snippet; Mailchimp/ConvertKit/MailerLite list sync is built in. Outbound webhooks are also available if you want to connect something like Zapier yourself.
Yes — the dashboard and every school's storefront come with English, Bahasa Malaysia, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese built in. Students can switch languages themselves, and you can set a default for your school.
Security and data
No. Every school's data is isolated at the database level (Row-Level Security) — you only ever see your own school's students and orders, and so does every other instructor.
The platform provides a baseline refund policy template that you can adjust to your own business — see the Refund Policy page for details.
About the platform
Instructors and coaches in Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, or Hong Kong who want to sell online courses, digital downloads, or live events under their own brand — whether you're launching your first course or already running a school and want to keep growing with community, affiliates, and automation.
No — we focus purely on the software: hosting, selling, and running your school. Producing your course content and marketing materials (or hiring someone to) is up to you.
Yes. After signing up, the school owner can use One-click setup: answer 6 questions and the assistant drafts your homepage, first course, instructor page, and FAQ. Everything is a draft and nothing goes public automatically, on every plan. To see finished results first, the Example schools section on the marketing homepage links to 4 real demo sites — click Use this template to start from one.
A setup Q&A assistant at the bottom right of the dashboard. Ask in your own words, like how do I start accepting payments, and it answers from the help center articles with a button that jumps straight to the right settings page. It's available on every plan and doesn't use your monthly AI generation quota; if the help center doesn't cover something, it says so instead of guessing.
Growth tools
Yes — transactional emails like purchase receipts, refund confirmations, and password resets go out automatically on every plan, no matter the tier.
Yes — set a trigger (like a tag being added or a course being completed), then chain steps (wait, then email or tag) with no external tool needed. This is a Pro-plan feature.
Yes — AI can draft a course outline, generate quiz questions from your lesson content, and write sales-page copy, which you review and edit before publishing. Monthly generation limits depend on your plan.
Yes. When you turn on the AI tutor, the student's lesson page gets an “Ask the tutor” tab. The AI answers from that lesson's video subtitles first, then the lesson text and the rest of the course, and links to the exact moment it used; for a question your material doesn't cover it answers from its own knowledge. The tutor doesn't appear on quiz and assignment lessons. You can read every question in the dashboard and save answers your material doesn't cover as course FAQ drafts. The tutor shares the monthly message allowance with the website chat.
Yes — once it's on, a chat icon appears at the edge of your website (you choose where, and can add WhatsApp and LINE beside it). The AI answers only from your public courses, prices and FAQs; when it can't, the visitor can ask for you. You reply from the dashboard, it shows in the visitor's window live, and goes to their Email if they've left. Monthly messages depend on your plan (Basic 100 / Growth 1,000 / Pro 3,000).
Yes — a school-wide community feed plus optional course-locked discussion spaces, with points, levels, and a leaderboard to keep students engaged (Pro plan).
Yes — turn on the self-service affiliate program (Growth plan and up): anyone can apply, you approve them, and they get a unique referral link that earns commission on resulting sales.
Yes — every instructor gets their own referral link. When another instructor signs up through it and subscribes, you both get a free month added to your subscription.
Broadcasts and automation emails count toward a monthly sending quota that scales with your plan — transactional emails like receipts and password resets don't count against it.
Every student gets a unified dashboard with their courses, learning history, certificates, messages, schedule, orders and subscriptions, and account settings — including downloading their own data or deleting their account.
