Community feed and discussion

Every school gets a community feed — a shared space where students and instructors can post, comment, and interact. You control which categories exist: school-wide announcements are visible to everyone, while you can create categories scoped to a specific course, visible only to students enrolled in it.

Posts use the same rich text editor as course descriptions and lesson text — headings, formatting, tables, embedded video, and more. Comments and replies stay plain text, since a quick one-line reply doesn't need a full toolbar.

Course-specific categories are set up on that course's Students & community tab (Discussion categories). Posts, course comments, Q&A and assignment questions are all handled from Students → Community in the sidebar.
