Basic terms
The handful of words you'll see everywhere in the dashboard.
- School: your own instance of the platform — one subdomain, one brand, one set of students.
- Course: what you sell. Can be a normal course, a digital download, or a live event — all use the same pricing/checkout/coupon pipeline.
- Lesson: a unit inside a course. Can be video, text, quiz, assignment, file download, live event, or an embedded YouTube/Vimeo video.
- Enrollment: the record that a student has access to a course, created automatically when an order is paid.
- Order: one purchase transaction. An order can contain a single course or a bundle.
- Tenant / subdomain: every school runs on its own subdomain (
yourschool.teachvix.com) or a custom domain you connect.
